As part of the General Education Curriculum at CUNY, this course is designed to enhance your understanding of world cultures and global issues. Students successfully completing this course will develop
- Oral and written communication skills: by producing well-reasoned arguments using evidence to support conclusions;
- Critical thinking skills: by evaluating evidence and arguments critically or analytically;
- Information literacy: by gathering, interpreting, and assessing information from a variety of sources and points of view;
- World Cultures and Global Issues Literary Proficiency: by identifying and applying the concepts and methods of a discipline or interdisciplinary field exploring world cultures and literature.
